Brother Ignatius has spent sometime exploring the relationship between

spirituality and art; most especially the contemplative dimension of this relationship

In 2008 he had a mini-sabbatical to draw and paint in Italy

Brother Ignatius reads constantly, enjoying a wide range of reading material; e.g. spirituality, fiction

history of art, theology, psychology. He is drawn to classical music, theatre and opera.

He enjoys the fine art of cooking and finds it relaxing and creative

Although he is not ‘published’ he writes almost everyday.

Brother Ignatius likes and needs contemplative time.  Besides the annual community retreat,

he takes regular reflection/retreat days for himself.

Brother Ignatius has been engaged in his own personal journey of spiritual direction for the last

twenty or more years.
