About Deb Reilly
Deb is a creative soul and a designer who has worked in many mediums such as wood, stained glass, knitting, quilting, and most recently pottery. She has been commissioned by Anglican Priests in the
making of vestments and to date has made ten chasubles, twelve stoles, and one cope.
!She has created many knitted prayer shawls and beautiful colourful silk scarves. Deb enjoys the challenge of trying to represent liturgical themes visually within her art. She became interested in prayer beads when she was given an Anglican rosary with a booklet that included instructions for making the knots...(but likes the beaded ones better.)
!Deb Reilly has been on a conscious spiritual journey for about a dozen years and has been a regular member of Christ Church Anglican in Stouffville for 25 years or so. She is an Associate of the Sisters of
St. John the Divine in Toronto, who enjoys the contemplative atmosphere and teachings within
'Quiet Day' programs.
!Deb is in her third year of the EFM Program, (Education for Ministry) which is a university level theology course for lay people, and has been a co-mentor of that group for two years. She has taken on many leadership roles within the church, is a natural encourager and has a gift of helps. She has been a
warden in her church, and a leader in small groups and especially loves to journey quietly and alone
with God within contemplative atmospheres, particularly when able to express her hearts desire creatively.
